My First Truck Build
Do you have the short (5'7') or long bed (6'5")? If short bed, did you see if you had actual welded square tubing inside the stake pockets or just the opening on the bed rail? If just an opening, how does the pop-up tie-downs secure itself into the stake opening as I'm curious as to its strength if there is no stake square tubing welded in place.
Finally, is that the Ford accessory tie-down or aftermarket (which brand)?

And the tie downs are aftermarket, I forget the brand but their in the GM accessory catalog.
Will a F 150 clear 35's with a 2.5 inch lift in the front and 1 inch in the rear? I was thinking of adding pro comp extreme AT, I hear their good in dirt and snow and still reasonable on the highway. I'd like 35's to get more clearance for winter but a lift would be to high for highway use and a sled deck if I get one
I have the 6.5 foot box

Sure is, I covered it with carbon fiber my self, the head unit is a Pioneer ABIC Z 130BT
I plan on running either **** Cepeck DC 2 or XD Thumps in 20" wheels
for tires i may try the pro comp extreme AT, i hear there good on the road as well as off and in snow, the main reason i want to improve my ride height is for in snow.
1 thing for sure a headlight upgrade is a must, I know have 7 HID bulbs up front, no trouble to see on the highway, stock is soo bad its unsafe!!!!
Have you got any kind of lift on your truck, mine is 2.5 inches higher, 33's should be no problem at all, I plan on a 4.5 inch lift or fabcraft preformance 6 " lift after the winter. I might just leave the stocks on it now and wait till the snow melts.

Factory 18" are 6" (+35mm offset) BS and factor 20" are 6.25" (+44mm offset).
A 4.5" backspace on a 9" wide wheel is -12mm offset and will dramatically stick out past the wheel wells. Here is a pic of my 20x9 KMC hoss 4.5" BS with 305-55-20 tire
Can you post a pic of the side of the truck? I just added a 2.5" lift in front and 1" in the rear, the wheel wheels look fairly large
Is that the nfab prerunner bar? That looks awesome on there. I was looking at them the other day for my truck. If you don't mind, what did that run you and where did you get it from. Where did you put the switch for the lights?
Also, I'm running 35's with the 2.5" level. My wheels have a 5.5" backspacing and I had very minimal rubbing. Your trucks looking good. Post up some pics after you get wheel and tires.

I got the N-fab bumper locally for $390 and my lights are on a realy connected to my hi beams.
I'm not adding just 35's as of now, I'm thinking im going to lift it, I bottomed the truck out a few times now getting to my bike trail thats off the side of the road, I love the look of lifted trucks to I can't get it out of my head. but i'm still liking my fuel economy not too sure how a 6" lift will affect it.
