4.6 3V and 5.0 look alike

My brother just got a 2011 Screw xlt 4x4 with the 5.0. I was surpirised when I opened the hood to see how similar the 5.0 looks to the 4.6 3V. Has anyone else noticed this?..Also, the 2011s have a much better and more detailed display on the speedo than the 2010s.

It's what's inside that counts.

Since the 4.6L 3V is a triton engine and the 5.0L 4V is a coyote engine, I was expecting to see a completely different configuration of the engine components.

The intake manifold is the only thing I noticed that looked alike on both motors. The 5.0 has DOHC heads and the 4.63valve has SOHC heads, so they don't look anything alike. Both motors have the throttle bodies on the front of the manifold also but I can still easily tell which motor is the 5.0.

Can't say that I disagree with you on that point.
