anyone having there truck sent back for the recall?

I got a letter for it a little while back, but a buddy of mine who works at a dealership says they dont have the replacement parts yet, or at least not enough.

Mines in the shop with a transmission issue right now. They said they would take care of the door handle recall while it's in there. I'll let you know if it really happens or not.

I have n 09. I took it in for a oil change they went ahead and did the door handle. Simple thing.

Got a letter from ford about two month ago, regarding the recall. It also said, there are no parts yet.
2 weeks ago, a letter came, saying parts are available now.
I had it done beginning of last week.

My new 2011 outside passenger door handle has to be pulled three times before it will catch and open. Dealer said the handle is on national backorder!

Dealer did mine automatically when I brought it in to get a "spare" key and remote programmed last week.

All in all, I waited 2 hours for it.

i was there to get my horn replaced under warranty and they did it to mine and replaced all 4 door handles. got my truck back an hour and a half later - good as new
