New F-150 EcoBoost Review Up

Hello everyone. I have been a lurker here for years, but just registered because I had the chance to spend two weeks with a brand new F-150 EcoBoost 4*4 and was interested to know if my thoughts on it matched yours. The review is available on autosavant.com and the direct link is here. If you'd prefer to comment here I'll be watching and would be interested in your feedback. My purpose isn't to steal readers or traffic only to get the opinion of some of the more informed people on the internet when it comes to F-150s.

Thanks!
Kevin

Nice review!! Great to see a real review other than the cookie cutter reviews of the auto mags.

My '09 has the Cargo Management System which has rails with adjustable tie down rings .These slide back and forth and should provide security for any load.
Nice report .The comments from all seem to indicate that Ford really did their homework on the EB.I find it sad that so few understood the engine .It's like the BMW survey on the 1-Series showing that 80% of the owners thought it was front wheel drive when it's rear wheel !!

Thanks all!

I have more good news. We liked the truck so much we bought one and will be reviewing it as a long term test truck. It is a 145" FX4 EcoBoost. Stay tuned as we'll be introducing it to the site soon.

Nice review! I am also a new FX4 Supercrew EcoBoost owner and absolutely loving it.

But spot-on on some of the weaknesses as well... Inexcusable Ford hasn't integrated HID lights into the F150, and a bit more refinement in the bed (cargo management, tie-downs, tailgate that locks with the key fob, better bed lighting) would be great.

But complaining about running boards standard? I went out of my way to buy one without them so I could put N-Fab's on my truck.

So, you joined F150online to specifically advertise your site and review on the EB? Now you are purchasing an EB to give us long term test results. I have my Motor Trend and Truck Trend for that.

Thanks for the review.

Blue, announcing the review was my first post, but it was really because it was the first time I had anything to say. (Other writers on our site have reviewed Ford trucks before, but this was my first) The intention wasn't to steal anything from this site, it was to get the impressions of some really informed people. Hopefully you'll find that we provide more detailed coverage of our long term truck than what you'd find from the major media outlets.

17.3 average MPG? That is not considered very good is it?
