Exclamation Heads

If I was able to get a set of heads off of a Mustang GT or Crown Vic P71 PI.
Would they bolt up to my 2010's 4.6L V8 and if so, what kinda gain could I expect?

I'm looking to add a little more get up and go off of the line.

I'm waiting to find the right exhaust and most likely a tuner of some sort.
What are the best mods you guys have personally used or have seen someone else use?

Thanks,

Tony

You might get more feedback in the engines section of the forums.
You have a very complicated question.

As long as your 2010 STX 4x4 4.6L is 2V ... Will bolt-on.

Zero gain. Your existing heads are PI ( Performance Improved ).

Unless ... You use the Mustang GT / Crown Vic PI heads as an opportunity to have them massaged while you're driving with the existing heads.

The HP / torque differences between the Mustang / Crown Victoria / F-150 PI engines is either MAF size, throttle body, intake manifold, presence of knock sensor, exhaust configuration, ECM tune, and/or a combination thereof.

BTW ... There is absolutely no difference in the heads of a P71 and any other Crown Victoria ( P70, P72, P73, P74 ). All 2001+ are PI.

For you reading enjoyment and listening pleasure ...

A couple of (IMO) good articles that will explain the various nuiances of the 4.6L / 281CI engines ...
