Flaps yea or nea

This is my 2nd F150 2010 Lariat, I never did put flaps on the 2005. Seems I see them less and less on trucks these days. FS

You dont see them very often anymore because the trucks look better with out em I think. I think its more of a personal preference...

Nay for sure. Unless you really need them (lots of gravel roads, etc.).

I would put them on, even if i didnt live on a gravel road.
It helps keeping the sand and salt off the side of my vehicle

lol almost. They're snowmachine tracks

I got mine cuz we have a lot of gravel roads, and cuz I'm planning on 35s eventually and its state law to have some sort of flaps to stop rocks and mud from getting kicked up.

If you're going for looks I say no. If you're wanting to keep the paint from getting chipped I say yes. The only ones I think look good are the moulded mud flaps.

I need to get a set for the front of my truck.

personal preference, I put a set on my truck to keep rocks and stuff from nicking the bottom of the doors and fenders.

ak_cowboy - you know your a redneck if you make mud flaps out of snowmachine tracks. just joking with ya. My uncle took mining belt and made mud flaps for his old beater ford.

Ha... You said snowmachine. You must be from Alaska!!!!!

For those in the lower 48 that is a snowmobile.

I have seen old tracks used for many things but never mudflaps. That is great!!!

I find them usefull but didn't order them on my new truck. I hate the way the factory ones are cuped on the front side to catch everything. Not a big deal with rocks but knocking snow/ice out of them is a pain. I'll be adding some aftermarket stiff rubber ones with some customized cutting to get the look I want but still provide soem protection.
