Thanks, I got outbid on some on ebay when my truck was on order. That was when I first heard about the tuxedo black paint shortage. So I didn't dare to bid too much because I didn't know if I was going to have to change my color choice or not. Then after searching for about a month I found some on Craigslist in Houston Texas. At the time the guy had a few other colors too, but that was about a month ago.

Sweet truck!! I'm fond of white as well..

I've always been an XLT guy or I should say a chrome bumper guy. I'm liking the new FX4's. You guys have problems with rock chips on the front bumber??

Cheers!

I've had a few f150's and all with painted bumpers. No issues with rock chips.

...or you can buy the textured black plastic pieces (that replace the reflectors) from FoMoCo.

Exactly. Something not quite right about the PTM bumper and the black flares coming together, especially on a white truck.

I wanted another FX4, but couldn't find one anywhere near me with the EB, so I settled for a XLT.

As far as the paint chipping on the bumpers - I had a 04 FX4 with the Shadow Grey paint on them, and after 7 years, the rear bumper was the one with most of the issues, however I did have some chips on the front as well, not as bad as the back.
