Any info on the 2012 F150?
Ford Insider said that the 2012 will now have a Max Diesel Tow package with the new 4.4L Turbo Diesel along with a 12,500 Max tow with 1250 hitch rating.
The package now comes with 4200 lb front axle and 4400 lbs rear axle for a GVWR of 8000 lbs or a payload of 1800 lbs (due to the heavier Diesel engine) on the Super Crew 4WD config. An option now available on Max Diesel Tow package "Super Crew" is the Heavy Duty Suspension with an 8500 lbs GVWR and a 4400 lbs front axle and 4800 lbs rear axle for a payload of 2300 lbs (with Crew Cab 4X4 config).
The Diesel Tow Package also comes with an upgraded transmission. The diesel didn't have any specifics but is rumored to have 375 Hp and 650 lbs of torque.
The Diesel Max Tow package will also have a new indentifier on the door and tailgate but unsure at this time what it will be. Package is said to list at $4000, which sounds decent for what you get.
Most of the other features and options are carrying over.
BTW, this is only a fantasy that I'm hoping to see in the 2012 and newer.
Here's to hoping.

Here's to hoping. Sounds more like a pipe dream.
Other than the fact that you probably couldn't see much out of the windshield, that looks sweet. Like the triple cheeseburger of F150s.
Yea probably not, it should come standard with backup camera and a forward looking front bumper camera.
This was a concept for the Superduty platform, NOT the F-150.
Wasn't that far off, it looks like. Max Payload on 2012 F150 SCrew 4x4 6.5' bed might be 2340lbs ! Thats a 450 lb increase. Just will have to make do with the Ecoboost as a substitute for the diesel. I have seen plenty of F250's with less payload.
