Key pad HELP!

My loving wife has locked both sets of keys in my truck and I do not remember the factory access code. When I bought the truck the sales person knew the code. Are they all preset to a factory code and if so what is it??

Thanks
Tim

Each has it's own individual code and the VIN will not help. You have to retrieve it using Dealer's software or remove the back of the rear seat if it's a Screw.

Man, I feel for you!

This is why I:

changed the code right away to something easy for me to remember

keep my owners manual with the code in the house

Best of luck gettin' into the truck . FWIW, as above, you may want to remove the master code card from the truck. Based on searches I've done about this there is no way to change the factory code short of replacing the control module so if anyone breaks into your truck and takes that code card they'll have free entry into your truck.

I thought my wifie was the only one who could lock TWO sets of keys in one vehicle ...... nice to hear I'm not alone lol.

When you get in it is really easy to reset the code to whatever you want.

Punch in the factory code. press 3-4 button and hold it for 5sec. then type in a 5 digit code of your choice. There are instructions on the key code card in your truck manual as well.

Just remember that you would be adding a code...This does not remove the factory code. It will still work even when you set your own.

That is correct. It is programmed to hold two, five digit codes. The permament factory code and one of your choice. The code of your choice can be changed as often as you wish.
