I consider the chevy system superior... Seems to get a lot colder quicker. but everything else on the ford is better!

I have a 2010 5.4 fx4....

95 today in Ft. Pierce, Fl and the air works great! I have not noticed any difference in cabin heat/temp with the EB than my 08 F250 V10, 07 F150 5.4 or 04 F150 4.6! I recently made a 1100 mile each way trip to Pa and back, with the same results running for 17 hrs. I love this truck!

Had to use mine in the 2011 for the first time on Sunday. I can tell you it's not near as cold as the AC in my 2002, even though it was 9 years old. Kind of disappointed, as it needs to kick butt especially with the black leather seats. It was only 86 out and had it on max with full fan speed for 30 minutes. In the 02 I would have had to turn it down within 10 minutes to keep from freezing.

I noticed yesterday that the a/c seemed pretty wimpy. It was only about 75 here, and the air just didn't seem real cold - almost to the point of making an appointment to see if it isn't charged enough. (2011 EB)

my 2010 is pretty lame. They have added some freon, but it just doesn't move enough air to really cool down like it should. It is nowhere near as good as my 2005 and 2007 chevys that I had previously. They would freeze you solid. This truck is barely adequete in 85 degree weather and substandard in 95 to 100 degree weather.

It is strange to me how there are so many different views on this. I cannot figure out why these are trucks are so different from one another. They shouldn't be this big of varience.

I like the truck except for two things. The ridiculously touchy brakes and the a/c. Neither of which they can seem to fix.

I live in Florida and the air in my 2010 isn't that great. have to run it full blast to get the truck cooled even with 5% tint all the way around. doesn't even come close to how well my F250 was

I live in Florida too. My 2009's A/C is adequate, nothing to write home about. But I had a Jeep Cheorkee that had no A/C for the last three years, anything is better than that. At the opposite end, my previous Nissan Quest had the coldest A/C I had ever had.

I know this is slightly but now that it's summer across the US I wanted to see what people thought of their 2010 or especially the 2011's AC capabilities.

I've got a 2011 EB SCrew FX4 (In Albuquerque NM) and I am suprised at how poor the AC is. I had a 1997 F-150 before this from new and in the 14 yrs it never needed a recharge and blew very cold even on last day of ownership.

Auto AC is worthless as it just keeps the fan on high the entire time. The only time I've had it come off high was after 1+ hrs in the truck on the highway then it finally starts ratcheting down the fan speed. I am planning on taking the truck in to have it looked at but wanted to see if people are still underwhelmed now that the heat is fully on.

I sure hope they fixed it from the 04-08's

My 96 F150 would freeze me out every time and make you sweat with the heater in the winter. My 04 if it's below 30* the heater sucks and if it's above 75-80* the A/C sucks. Even when it's below 80* it's nothing to brag about.

The A/C in my 2011 is much better than my 2005 was. Today using the remote start it was able to make the interior tolerable in just a few minutes. The truck had sat in direct sun all day with outside temps at 104* parked above asphalt. When I opened the door I could feel cold air coming out.

I'd rate my 2010 Screw's system adequate. It will cool to around 40 degrees, but there is a lot of cabin to cool with a lot of window surface area. Older vehicles with R12 freon worked a lot better. My 91 F-150 would blow 29 degree air before the compressor cycled off. Now that would freeze you out of the truck!
