The sync function has worked since I got it but all of a sudden it won't connect to the phone while it still stays paired. The bluetooth sees the phone and is paired but won't connect to it to make a phone call. Thought my phone may have gone bad so tried the sons. It does the same thing.

I did a master reset and an add bluetooth device. It adds it and pairs but won't connect to the phone to use. This has happened to both my phone and the sons, so I'm thinking the sync just crapped out.

Sync my ride is useless and offers no help with their video or support. So it's going back to the dealer to fix this.

Anyone have this happen, where it worked for months and one day, just stopped working???

Yep mine does the same. They'll tell you it's your phone. They kept telling me that even though I tested six different phones from various manufacturers, all of which were listed as compatible on Syncmyride.

I also have the opinion that the syncmyride site is totally useless, especially the clowns they have doing the online chat.

Sync Sucks.

 

My parents 2010 Explorer have no problem with Sync and their phones. However, in my F150, the Sync system does the same thing - pairs but doesn't connect. I'm much happier with the MobileEase in my Mustang.

 

Check your address book/contacts for duplicates. I have had this problem and the last time I connected my phone I told sync to NOT download my addressbook and it stays connected now.

It does seem to be on the phone itself and I have read complaints about duplicate addresses/names in the Contacts...
