6.2 supercrew raptor gas milage

So far in the ownership of my truck I have driven mostly around town with the exception of a road trip to Utah to break it in. On that trip I drove 1500 miles when the truck was one week old and averaged 14.9 mpg. On easter I drove to my parents house which is about 100 miles away. It was a mix of freeway and backroads. Speeds averaged 55-65 mph. I filled up before I left and this was the result. Keep in mind to my house is at 200ft elevation and my parents live at 1800. I was pretty stoked on the real world broken in gas milage of my heavy Raptor. I know it wasnt a full tank I went through as I still have almost 3\4 of a tank almost a week later. I have driven all city since than and am still at a 15mpg average. Here is the pics

Not bad, if you are a country highway driver where 55-65 is the norm that mileage will work fine for you. I'd really like to know what you average going 75 in the Interstate. Most guys I know with Raptors get what the sticker says 11 in town and 14 on the highway going 75 which is the speed limit here in AZ

That's pretty good for a mammoth truck like that.

I can't believe that the few that commented before me didnt say anything about this being the COMPUTER calculated mileage. Usually the computer is going to give you at least 1 but more than likely 2mpg's more than it would be when you actually hand calculate it. I don't know how a 6.2 raptor would be getting better than the 5.4, and this is obviously babied as well.

In my experience the comp has been pretty accurate within a few tenths. In fact..it has never been off more than .3 vs actual calculation. On the way to and from Utah we were doing 75-80 and averaged in the 14's. The extra ten mph really kills it. Around town its 10 or 11

And yes...I was babying it...Because thats what you do when youre trying to get some good milage...The 6.2 guzzles when driven hard..But so do most all engines
