My 5.0 is running 5w20 Syn-blend. Worked great in my 07 and will serve me well in the 11 too.

Why not use motorcraft oil and filter? After all that is what Ford recommends for our vehicles.

recommends...doesn't always mean the best thing for it..
oil is oil... but when I ran mobil 1 my hemi ran alot smoother an no more hemi tick.

but the 5w-20 from mobil has failed a few test thats why castorl can say 20x better wear protection.. etc etc

"5w-20 from mobil has failed a few test"

Do you have a link for that?

Motorcraft has been great for my vehicles. My F150 Lightning made 660 rwhp on it and still had the cross hatches at tear down inspection. I use to run Mobil 1 in everything even ATF but at 6-7bucks a quart I had enough. I have seen no evidence of sheer or breakdown in Motorcraft oils. You sure can't beat the value... When I can't find it I run Castrol GTX. I have taken enough Ford mod motors apart and had Blackstone test enough samples to see the results of these oils for myself.

Sorry, that was 5W-30, and it was a few years ago.

I am planning on running Castrol Full Synthetic, from I have read that the Blends are a waste of money, you only get like 20-30% Synthetic, for a couple extra $$$ go Full synthetic. I only have 1,300 on my SCAB, am considering the Titanium Castrol 5W20 Full Synthetic. Just my thoughts

Major manufactures recommend oil viscosity based on mileage to increase their ratings with CAFE. I know for a fact that the 4.6L 3V was designed to run 5w30 but they changed it to 5w20 to increase mileage by a ridiculously small margin. So that tells me if they changed it for that small they have to be doing it across the board to make any sense in doing so.

I was running 5W30 Castrol in my old 1998 F150 5.4L (Traded for a 2011 F150 5.0L) it had 130K on it, after about 1,000 miles it would be 2 Qts low, added 10W30, and it would last until I changed the oil at 3,500-4,000 miles. I always used Castrol in it from when I bought it at about 50k on. Just FYI MP

It's time for labnerd to post his test results of Motercraft Blend, once more.

I ran 5-20 Motorcraft in my 2005 5.4 and it would barely move on the dipstick between changes at 4500 miles. It was still doing that and the oil would still be clean at 135,000 miles when I sold it. The 5-20 Motorcraft is all I will run in my 2011. Great value and if I do have a problem, there will be no hassle from Ford that it could be oil related.
