09-11 step bar install help

I purchased a set of step bars here a few weeks ago. I am looking at installing them now, but I don't have any nuts for the bolts to attach the brackets under the truck. I see where the holes line up under the truck, but these holes aren't threaded. Can anyone tell me what type of nuts are used for these. I'm assuming they are the nuts that are attached to a clip and slide over the holes. I e-mailed the guy I bought them from to see if these are still attached to his truck.

They come with a full set of what I call U-clips, a spring loaded nut that slides over the hole, and M10 bolts. You do have full access to them though, so in a pinch, you could just nut and bolt them with m10, or 3/8 bolts with regular nuts. Makes it harder though. Your local body shoip supply store will have the proper ones in a bulk bin, but they are not cheap.

Canada,

Thank you. I just talked to the guy I bought them from and he sees them on there. Do you know if they just pop off? Or if there is s trick to it? There are 16 total correct? The dealership said they were 7.50 a piece. What do they think i'm the government, to charge that much.

They have a little spring loaded clip built into them. If you push them in all the way, the little spring will sort of pop out, and let you get a small screw driver hooked into them to be able to slide them off. Once ya get under the truck you will see what i mean. They will not just pull straight off without prying on that little retainer. Dont pry too hard or you'll break the little tab. (which you dont need once the bolts are through them anyway) Should take less than a minute a side to get all the clips off with the right small flat screwdrivers. Make sure he gives you the bolts too, or ya are gonna have to buy M10 bolts from a bolt place.
