I have a Lo Pro QT and it is water tight, easy to install and remove, the handle is hidden with the tailgate up and locked. It rolls up out of the way and looks really good.

I prefer vinyl covers, just rolling not folding. My Access Cover takes up about 5" of space in the front of my bed when open. Compare that to any folding cover that will take up the front 1/4 to 1/3 of the bed length when "open".

I like the rolling soft covers. Minimal bed space restricted when rolled up and quick access. Not secure, but hidden from eyes. Most of them have locks that must released from underneath, with tailgate open.

I don't understand the folding soft covers. Penalty of 1/3 or 1/4 bed space covered like the folding hard cover, yet unsecure.
They lock form the inside when the tailgate is shut/locked. But you are correct that a buck knife could cut right through it. If someone wants in it's gonna happpen no matter if its a soft one or a fiberglass one!

The folding cover I have LUND Genesis Tri-fold does not take up any bed space when folded and stored ni the supercab of the truck or stored inside the bed.

I read on here that the folding covers won't fit in a screw cab when they are completely removed. Your Lund does? Because of this reason I'm leaning towards a roll up but I HATE Velcro covers. Maybe an extang revolution?

What's wrong with velcro? My Access Cover is 8 years old and still performs great. I did use Gorilla Glue on the velcro last year, but it works good as new still.

Thanks everyone for all the responses. I think I am going to try to price around now, because price does determine what I am going to get. When I decide, I'll post pictures, a review and answer any questions of install ect.

Access, I'm on my 4th truck with an access cover. Yes they don't look as sharp as a PTM fibreglass hard cover but they don't limit what you can haul in the box.

Thumbs up Access Lorado

I purchased a Access Lorado roll-up cover for my '05 F150 w/ a 6.5ft bed. Then when I got my 2010 F150 w/ 5.5ft bed I had it modified to fit and it still performs great. Pics in my profile (on my '05)

Just call them and tell them that you saw someone else get it for 799.99 and ask if they will match it. I couldn't find it less then 1K too but called them asking about the F1 but I was intersted and the guy just offered up that price to me. I said sure, and I gave him my CC, had it in about 5 days.

Can you share how you modified it? I had the same cover on my 6.5' and just got a 5.5'. Its in great shape still so I would rather try modifiying it rather than buying a new one for 400+.

Get the Trifold, LUND has a good one and I had one once. Whatever you do dont get one that snaps on or velcros on they are a pain. Dont waste your money on fiberglass hard top. They look nice but arent easy to take off if you need to. The trifolds are nice in that there is four clamps and that is it. You lower the tail gate and reach in and hit the front two clamps and fold it back, then unfold it clamp and you are on your way. And if you need a little more room but not all of the bed it will fold back to the cab and will clip to itself and the remaining two clamps will hold the cover down. And if you really need it off take all four clamps off and fold it up and set it on the side.

Word of advice if you live in snow besure to clean it off of ice and snow before you fold, i failed to do this on mine and it broke, it still worked fine but I had manually move the broken joint every once in a while.

I also have the Under Cover SE Textured, you can walk on them (I alway do and im 280 lbs), easy to clean snow off with out the risk of scratching the paint. very easy to remove with 2 people and one person could if they really had to. One lock, locks both sides. Has a little led light also. Atleast for me its the best cover all around.

Just installed Extang Revolution on my FX4 (5.5 bed) tonight, and love the look and fit.. I too needed use of the full bed and this one rolls up tight with built in straps in about 30 secs.. It can come all the way off of the truck in less than a minute.. I like that it is low profile and you can't see the supports.. Not sure about it being water tight, I'll find that out tomorrow... Got mine for $383 w/ free shipping from http://www.autoanything.com/.. Let me know if you have any questions..

I have the same cover, its water tight, easy to install and easy to use. I can get pictures up later if you'd like, but looks great and I did see a 1-2 mpg difference on highway with this cover

OMG! $1,000 for a plastic cover? I didnt spend that for the Swiss fiberglass cover on my 2010 painted to match. It comes off easily if I want and reinstalls the same... certainly not like a vinyl, but the most secure and absolutely no water gets in. I've always thought I'd like a Backflip, but don't like black on two-toned trucks that aren't black. To me, it looks ugly and the cover stands out.
