HELP!! Z plan, Black grille, Ecoboost, Center Console....AAHH!!

Wow, I'm stressing out here. I can't decide b/w the XLT or the FX4. I LOVE the black grille and the center console of the FX4. However, I really like the Ecoboost and the price tag of the XLT. Rebates end tomorrow and I need to decide tonight!!

I know its been discussed over and over but is that Ecoboost worth it?? 5.0 or Ecoboost. Gas mileage is starting to stare at me everyday when I drive by the gas station and keep seeing gas stay above $3.40.

I drive a Honda Ridgeline now and figured its time to get a REAL truck.

Lastly, anyone try out the Ford credit Flex loan plan where you have a lower payment the first 30 months, then goes up for the remainder? What are the advantages / disadvantages? Can you just split up your loan in 66 payments and pay it instead of the lower amount for the first 30 months?

Last lastly, I'm buying using the Z plan. The XLT sticker is $40,710. Z plan takes it to $35,886. Rebates total $5,000. If I want to do the 0% financing,
I only get $2,000 in rebates.

HELP! Too much stuff going on in my head and I'm stressing out trying to sort it all out.

Thanks fellas!!

FX4, you will be happy you did! I wouldn't do any kinda flex/AR-P loan for anything either! Too much uncertainty with those things... I'd take the 0% and run

FX4 vs xlt = NO COMPARISON,,get the nav and lux package and get 2000 more off,,I Have a 09 FX4 Supercab,,,45,000 miles it gets 18 mpg combined. I'm not sure the eco will get much better. I like having the range with my 36 gal tank. GREAT on trips! Without the $500 rebate the engine will never pay for itself (for me) and it has the 26 gal tank. I am trading mine in for right around $25,000 with the tax advantage (unless someone here wants to make a quick deal,,, $38,000. list)

rebates are good until the 4th, not tomorrow.

i opted for a fx4 this go around, if you price them out equally the fx4 comes out to be a better deal and looks a lot nicer.

I agree on the fx4. The interior is much nicer, not to mention more plush. The luxury pack was something I bounced around about before I ordered mine, and I eventually decided to go with it. Very glad I did. Heated seats is a nice option...... And if the eco-boost was a choice in 2010, I would have scooped it up in a heartbeat. I'm not sold on the nav system. I just think it's too expensive, and did not get it. And my last 4 trucks had sunroofs, which I rarely opened. Saved that grand this time around too.

Summary, FX4, Luxury pack, with ecoboost. You'll be glad you did.

Thanks for the quick responses! I really like the FX4 and would if they had one in the lot with the Ecoboost, there'd be no question. Except the only ecoboost they have are in the XLT's. I SUPPOSE I could order one but damnit I want it NOW! LOL.

Any other input on the Flex Buy program? Also, are there the same amount of rebates on the FX4 as on the XLT?

at the moment no.

in my area it's $500 customer cash, $1000 finance, $1000 xlt.

xlt is considered an XLT or FX2, FX4 is not considered and xlt for some reason.

there are alot of private rebates that aren't listed so you can get another $500-$1000 off most likely. also being the end of the month today you should be able to get ~$1200 below invoice and then - rebates.

Here's a calculator to help with the finance/rebate dilemna:
http://www.culookup.com/IFrameCalcul...&resource=hide

It will depend on what other financing you can get and what the term will be. At 33.6k purchase price (2k in rebates either scenario) plug in 3k rebate or 0%.

When I ordered my truck 2 weeks ago it worked out cheaper for me to take the $3k in rebates and 4.6% financing rather than the $1k rebate and 0% financing.
Results may vary depending on how much $ you borrow and what you finance rate is.

If you haven't bought yet I was at the same point. I test drove everything and it was the hardest choice I've ever made after driving the FX4 with all the gadgets I ended up going with the 4x4 Eco crew and 6.5 bed. It has everything but Nav,cam, leather power, sunroof and 20's. I traded in my 2002 Fx4 in on it. I love this truck and it was 4-6k less.
Good Luck
