Why?

Why did Ford drop the 36 gallon fuel tank on the 20011 F-150 Super Crew?
They must think everyone lives in the city.

Ford did not drop the 36 gallon tank on the 2011's. From my understanding of it, it is equipped on all extended and crew cab f150s equipped with the 5.0 or 6.2L motors. I can definitively say my 2011 5.0 crew fx4 definitely has the 36 gallon tank.

I think you need the 6.5ft bed on the screw to get the 36 gallon tank.

Maybe I was wrong then, all the screw's with the 5.5ft bed in my area had the smaller tanks.

I bought mine off the lot, 2011 w/the 5.5ft and it came with the 36 gallon tank standard. It seems like Ford is attempting to keep their distribution of 36 gallon tanks somewhat of a state secret.....

My 2011 5.0 XLT Screw with 5.5' bed came with a 36 gallon tank. It was 1 of many on the dealer lot here in Illinois.
