Out with the old, in with the new

The old:

the new:

Traded my 2002 FX4 for 2011 FX4 Ecoboost, luxury package, running boards, trailer brake controller, man step, and 20's. The old truck was great, never any issues, but the new truck is just awesome.

Actually bought it in Omaha and drove it back to Denver, so 550 miles all in one day. Unfortunately there was a 40mph head/side wind, so mileage was very poor to say the least! Last 3 days driving around town it seems to have settled around 17.4.

Next week plan on getting windows tinted, clear bra, and possibly some 275/60/20 tires.

Gorgeous truck....funny story...I went and placed my order for basically the exact same truck ECO etc. yesterday but in white....went out for dinner afterwards which was across the street and went back to the lot to look at all the colours....saw a sterling one and now have changed my order to the grey instead of white...they look really sharp in person!!! Congrats on the new truck...

Very nice. I like both the old and new. Your new one would be the same thing that I would get. Love the color, you dont see to many with those style 20's.

Damn you! Trying to fuel my buyers remorse???

The 02 was a great truck, but as I was nearing 100k miles, I was going to have to spend some $$$ (that's what I told the wife). I have been wanting a new F150 for years, but it just wasn't enough of an improvement over the 02 to justify the cash since mine had been paid off since 2004. The new engines put me over the edge, the Ecoboost is just awesome. The 02 felt like a complete dog compared to it.

thanks everyone.

Well, the 02 got right at 16 doing 80mph on the trip out there, but I was being pushed pretty good by the wind. Just the opposite coming back. And 80mph is necessary to get the heck out of Nebraska asap!
