Courtesy wipe?

My 2010 has the courtesy wipe feature. I have read that on the 2011's they have a feature to disable this. I wish mine did. But I have to admit, every time I wash my windshield and I get the "courtesy wipe", I have to chuckle a little bit, pondering to myself, is the "courtesy wipe" related to the "courtesy flush"?

Don't forget to wipe before you flush.

After turning on the window washer, and running the pumps, the wipers continue to run for a cycle and stop. Then, 5 or 8 seconds later it gives one more wipe cycle to clean up whatever drippings might be drifting down. Kind of a pain. I'd rather flick em on myself if the w/s needed it. Not everything needs to be automated. If there was a way to kill that feature, on the '10's, I'd sure like to know.

A lot of times when you cycle the washer/wiper setup the fluid starts running down from the top of the windshield again shortly after the cycle has completed - my guess is that the courtesy deal is supposed to get that last bit of fluid.

It should be called something other than a courtesy wipe though - too many ways to interpret that wrong...lol

It's a PIA, I bypass it by doing my own wipe right after the wash cycle
