6.2L Mileage?
The exception of course is if you're really using a Raptor like you should be on a given tank of fuel (i.e., off road). Then you'll certainly see 9.5 or less.
A regular F-150 should do MUCH better than a Raptor. 35" tires + significantly larger frontal area and no air dam.
Only off road. In daily driving I average 13. I've seen as high as 17 on a road trip that I stuck to the speed limit and used the cruise. It's no where as thristy as peopls make it out to be.
Thanks for the information guys and the arms/legs comment was funny lol...
The reason I ask is because if I end up upgrading to a 2011 from my current Titan I plan on doing a 6" lift and 35s. I'm a little nervous though with all the of the warranty issues on the Ecoboost about modifications and whether or not that applies to suspension modifications and larger wheels and tires with the gear ratios, etc. So I'm trying to see what the mileage is on the 6.2L as well. Thanks.

In all honesty, a Raptor is more than I need as far as off-road capability is concerned. Don't get me wrong, I think they are amazing trucks and they look super mean, but I just really don't have a use for one. That's why I'm looking at lifting a Platinum. I love lifted trucks, but don't do any "hardcore" off-roading. A few trails here and there and going around our ranch property is about it. So I guess I'd be building a street queen..to each their own.
And about the comment of "you gotta pay to play"...if there is a motor out there that can get me better mileage with a lift and 35s, why would I not choose the one with better mpg's. Sure, I'll drop 2mpg city/highway from the lift and bigger tires, but if that means getting 20mpg highway with the ecoboost instead of 15 highway with the 6.2L, then I'm game.

Until someone actually lifts an EB truck we won't know how bad the drop will be. I am willing to bet it drops to 6.2/5.0 mpg levels; say 12-14 city, possibly 14-16 highway. I was interested in an EB with a lift, etc, etc... now after much research I would go with a 6.2/5.0 if I was going to do any of that. The EB is best suited to be left alone, IMO. if anything a leveling kit and 33's (or smaller) would be great for an EB just to give it a tougher stance and mitigate the loss of mpg's (if possibly).
The other thing to consider is the custom tuning to account for tires/gears, etc.. it will probably kill the warranty on the EB motor. If your not concerned about that, then go for it.
I'd second the vote for a raptor, who cares if it is more than you will ever need? It is more than I will ever need, but I still have it at the top of the list for my next truck this fall.

I remember that was my biggest complaint when I was looking at a 2010 lifted Plat last December...it looked mean but was way too quiet. Only problem with the EB is that their is no way to modify the exhaust to change the sound because you "risk overspeeding the turbos." I hope someone else lifts an EB in the next few months before I get more serious about ditching my current Titan. But a lifted white Platinum with some 20" Fuel Offroad Hostages is calling my name hahaha
Yeah...I was also wondering about the re-calibrating of the speedometer and that it would be considered a "tune" and void the warranty on the EB. Plus, if you can't modify the exhaust you're stuck with a big quiet truck...that doesn't really make sense now does it?

I have a lifted white Limited with 20" Fuels that I'm picking up in the next couple of days. I'll let you know how it turns out
6.2 LL with the 22" rims, all stock, I got 16.3 MPG from Dallas to Vernon TX, 60mph for 90 miles (actually didnt help gas mileage) and 70mph for the other 90 miles.
On the way home, I went 74-77mph and the gas went down to 15.2 MPG. About 800 ft above sea level if that helps at all (different altitudes have different MPG given same situations typically).
I've "heard" it can get up to 19mpg, but I'm skeptical if I'll see that. Maybe with an intake and tune?
