Here's where I put mine. One is for my Aux Back-up lights and the other is a spare right now.

I have a Federal Signal SW300 wired for my grill lights and for my future strobes, headlight flasher, maybe lockers, I don't know what else.

I was a little reluctant to drill holes in my dash, but I wanted some extra lighting. I have a 2010 and it seemed like there was no good place to mount a switch. As I was shopping for lights, I came across a set of Warn lights with a wireless remote switch. It works well and really simplified the install. You may be able to buy a similar remote switch. Just a thought.

They're pretty good. I don't take the truck off road, so I can't really rate the off road performance. I bought the driving light version (they are also available as fog lights). They are a pretty good supplement to the factory high beams for highway driving.

I really bought the Warn lights for looks. They’re not worth the $170 that I paid for them, but they were pretty easy to install and offer reasonable functionality. Overall, I'm happy with them.

If 55w is enough light for your needs and the price doesn't scare you away, then I would recommend them.
