Just spray the aluminum ones with some LPS 3 they will never have dissimilar metal corrosion. there are all kinds of aluminum alloy, we use it in aero space all the time and have no problems with it
I dont think you can put enough weight in your truck to crush a block that size Im sure its 6061 T6 at minimum

I have 2" aluminum rear blocks on my truck that I bought off Ebay.. I'm not too worried about the mixed metals touching one another as I will prob trade the truck in well before it becomes an issue.. I would assume it would take years for it to corrode and I plan on keeping my truck 2-4 years.

Used2vtec, thanks, I look forward to the photos.

Bigsmitty, very good point. I'm not sure why I'm a little hesitant. But to know there are multiple people out there using them, I'm motme confident in them.

Blackout, you're truck is sick, as always. I didn't know your block was aluminum too. I checked and it was 6061 aluminum. I plan on keeping the truck at least 3-4 mire years. I would assume as well that te blocks would hold up. After all, it does say it has a lifetime warranty on them.

I'm looking for taller rear blocks too. I had a 2" AS with offset kit installed about three weeks ago. It yielded 3" of lift, so now the front is 1/2" higher than the rear. It should have "settled" by now, right? It drives me nuts. I contacted AS and he thinks they might have sent me the wrong spacers. I'm wanting to lift the rear about 1" to 1-1/2".

Mine is about 3/4" or so, give or take. Settling would only occur in the strut assembly, depending in how much mileage you have in, adding a spacer shouldnt yield much settling. mine had about 40k of miles on it when I installed the spacer so settling wasn't an issue. BUT, the rear has definitely dropped a bit after added weight in the back now.

I had some free time today and the weather was really nice so I installed the blocks and took a couple of pictures. I apologize I did not get any before shots but my camera was dead, so I charged it during the install and took pics during and after. Everything worked out great, my only complaint is that the supplied U-bolts are a few inches longer than they need to be. I understand why companies do this, so they can use the same u-bolts for multiple applications. Other than that it was a really easy install. My truck has a 2" HBS leveling kit installed and 2.5 inch rear blocks.

Im really happy with the end result. Before the truck sat a 1/4 inch higher in the rear buta full tank of gas would cause the front to be higher. Now with the block I think it has a great stance, just needs some bigger tires......... coming soon. Here are the pics. Im not sure what difference it will make but the fuel light is on so with a full tank it will be at least 1/4 lower in the rear.

Dude that is awesome! Great look!! I think they look sooo much better than a 3" block! I mean another half inch makes a big difference! I think for a 2" leveling kit in the front, 2.5" blocks are a perfect match! Thanks for the update and post man! I'm going to pull the trigger on them soon. Like you said, some new rubber will make your truck look even better!

What'd you think of he quality of everything that came with the kit?

Thanks, im really happy with how it turned out. The truck will have some 33" duratracs on it by summer so that will really change the look even more. With a true 2 inch leveling kit a 2.5 block is the way to go no doubt!

As for the quality, everything was top knotch. The blocks were solid as can be and had a good amount of weight to them. They fit into the holes with barely any play at all making install a breeze. I expected them to be light since they were aluminum but they had some weight to them. Maybe they aren't aluminum, either way im very happy with them. Like I said, my only complaint is the long u-bolts but I just need to go out there with the dremel and it will take 5 minutes to shorten them all back down. I would order again from this company. I believe they are based out of California so that is why shipping took so long for me, but I had a tracking number 2 business days after I placed my order.

Is it my imagination, or does your Truck not have The wheel/box flares? What gives? FX4 decals, painted bumpers, but no factory flares....... hmmmmmm
