2010 SCAB Rear Seat Removal

Hey anyone interested in removing their rear seat, I did it today and took some pics to share with others. Everything I could find on the forums didn't explain very well where exactly the release mechanisms were so here we go!

This is where you need to put you arm in, not lower or you will be grabbing at the wrong thing, like I did for 15 minutes.

What the arrow is pointing at is what you need to push towards the back of the truck to allow the seat to lift up. The silver metal loop that is on the bottom of the picture is for attaching baby seats and that is not what you need to be pulling on. FYI.

This is where the black plastic clip attaches to the seat cushion, so you know what your feeling for.

Here is an overall picture of what you are looking for, as you can see where you need to be reaching in to unlatch is a little higher than the bar that you can see when you lift up the bottom part of the seat.

Hope this helps. Also if anyone knows where to find the factory code for the door keypad, I am trying to find it and it is not behind the rear seat. My truck doesn't have it right now, but I want to put it in. Thanks.

Thanks!

You may want to start a new thread specifically for the code Might get better visibility.

That for posting this. I have wondered how to remove the rear seatback in a SuperCab.

If you don't have the keyless entry you won't find anything with the code because there isn't one. Normally it is on the computer "brain" part of the keypad system, which is mounted behind the rear seat on the driver's side.

There have been several posts on how to remove rear seats, for both the 09+ and 04-08 models.

This is for Key Fob programming after cutting a key and programming the key chip.

It should present you with the factory door code.
