New Explorer Headrests and 2012 F-150 updates
Headrest hassle is put to rest in new Ford Explorer

Can you put the pivoting headrests from the new Ford Explorer in a F-150? Will they fit, and is the upholstery matching? I wonder. Perhaps these new headrests will be one of the updates for the 2012 F-150.

"The four-way system moves up and down, as well as forward and backward using a manually operated ratcheting system that allows 12 positions to increase occupant comfort while helping to provide occupant injury protection in rear impacts. "
See at 1:49 how the rear headrest would fold down out of the way:

who hired the crackhead hooker in the background?
the headrest you see folding are on the 3rd row seats, Land Rover has used these since 2005 in the LR3/LR4 platform. Its nothing special, and it just folds out of the way to fold the seat down.
Not sure about the "new" headrests in your picture

The 1st and 2nd row also fold. These would be great for the F-150 because the rear headrests now block most of the view out of the rear window of the F-150 and people have been complaining about the front headrest angle. You could fold the rear headrests down half way when nobody is in the back seat. And adjust the front seat to your liking.
my 07 expo has the folding head rest in the third row.
and if its the same thing thay leave a lump thats uncomfy when folded down and leave a hole thats uncomfy when folded up!
so tell me why there so great?

If nobody likes the pivoting headrest then everyone should stop complaining about the how the headrests hit their head funny and make their neck hurt and how the big a$$ rear headrests block the rear window.
I think this is a great idea IF they will fit.
