I have 3200 miles on mine and going down the interstate, set on 72, I get 22.1. That includes accelerating to 80 mph a couple of times, for passing. For a week of driving, mixed but with a lot of the tank on the highway, I get 19.0. I have found that the trip meter is very accurate with my hand calculations, suprisingly so. I have also found the red lights and any idling kills mpg like nothing else. It's amazing to sit there and watch the average drop.

You're not kidding. I wish the engineers could figure out a way to lean out or deactivate multiple cylinders if the truck idles for longer than 5 sec.

yeah they have figured out something... shut the engine off! If I remember right it will be mandatory on new vehicles soon.
