Down sized and upgraded to 2011

Finally got my new truck a few days ago! Traded in my 2005 F-350 Screw LB Lariat FX4 w/ a 6.0L and got a 2011 F-150 FX4 Screw LB with a 5.0L. I absolutely love this truck. I don't have as much power as my tuned diesel but it still has really good power. I already put her to the test yesterday, only 110 miles and I had to pull 2 vehicles out of the ditch. I really like the locking diff, comes in handy. So far very I'm very impressed with the truck!

His last truck was about a foot and a half longer, so I guess the new one won't be so tough.

Exactly this one is a breeze compared to the super duty. And the rear view camera in the nav is really nice.

Now that I think about it, it was a stupid question.

Congratulations. Looks like it has plenty of gadgets to keep you busy. I have that same dash light with a red lense.

Nice down-up-grade I never noticed it but there is a 'gear selection indicator' deal on the console shifter and the gauge cluster? I didn't know we needed to see it twice in new trucks!

Lightbulb Rear headrest problem - solved! (listen up , Ford)

Nice truck, brand-new and you've already got her proving herself!

As I was looking at the rear headrests, it got me thinking. I've seen some vehicle(s) before, where in the very back seat, the headrests have slots under them, and you can fold them completely down onto the seat back surface, giving you 100% freedom to look out the entire back window. When you have a passenger(s), you just flip the headrest(s) back up to use 'em. Would be a great compromise between saftey for rear seat passenger, and saftey for driver visibility at all other times with no passenger. Ford ought to look into doing this, would be a great idea.

Some of their cars have that type of headrest already. Was getting my oil changed and while waiting I was wandering the showroom. I noticed the Mustang GT500 on the floor had them and I think the Flex also had them. I am in total agreement that something like this would be nice. I can't figure out what was wrong with the smaller sized headrests they had in the '09 and earlier models. My '10 is bad enough with the two big ones and I can't imagine those plus another almost as big one in the center like the '11 models have.

The more I think about it, it seems silly that the GT500 had them in the back seat. That is the sort of car that you don't care what is in the rear-view. I was so mad they had taken the battery out of that car and run the power seat all the way forward. It prevented me from sitting in it. I am sure they did that on purpose, just like how they kept the doors locked on the Ford GT (no I don't mean Mustang GT) they used to have on the floor.

Aww man, the 2011's have an ac hookup now! Its nice to see they put the fx2 grille on the fx4 and put the hd tails and heads on, I gotta pay to get them on mine. O btw your in 4hi, lol, guess the roads are slick up there. But did you just start the truck up, why is your check engine light on?
