Factory Spray in Bed Liner

I searched but everything came back with Rhino vs LineX . . .

So how does the factory spray in liner compare to an aftermarket? I assume is may be applied directly to the primer as opposed to having to prepare the clear coat painted surface of a new truck. I don't know if this would be an advantage or not.

Is this really "factory" or a dealer option? I thought that most or these were dealer options which are likely applied by the closest and cheapest provider.

I think your right about it being dealer installed. My nearest dealer installs Reflex spray in liner's in there body shop.

I had mine done two days ago. Other dealers in my area may be different but my dealer is also a Rhino dealer. Guess what they put in mine. Rhinoliner installed in a seperate spray booth in their collision shop. It really came out nice and I like it.

Nope pretty sure it is installed at the factory. My dealer told me to wait till I get the truck and have them Line-X or Rhino line it, as it was much better then the factory stuff.

Not sure if he was saying that to try and up sell me and make a bit more money off of me versus the factory install. Either way I was happy with my Rhino liner and will do one again.

I told was by an employee that for F150's built at the KCAP, they send them over to a Linex shop. I think only fleet buyers can order it though.

Your saleman may be confused with the Super Duties.

I have seen it in some of the superduties on local lots, it looks pretty nice. I know it was factory becuase we don't have any spray-in liner places around here, they all went bust plus normally line-x or whoever brands the truck bed with decal/dealer logo thing.

It is a factory deal, I'm pretty sure I read it in the superduty brochure how ford developed there own or something a while back..

I ordered a Reg cab XLT Custom last week with the factory Spray-In liner. Order code was 96W. It was $450 but my A plan price was $374. I believe it is only available through the Kansas City plant though.
