2011 Remote Start Factory or Dealer Installed?

Is the remote start for 2011 a Factory installed option or dealer installed option?

Also if dealer installed do they use the all in one key fob, I'd hate to get a 2011 and have dealer add remote start and leave me with a separate fob.

I know that the 2011 Edge, Harley and Lariat Limited is factory installed so I'm going to say factory installed but don't quote me on that

It's factory installed for 2011 as long as you order at least a FX2. Standard on all: King Ranch, Platinum, Lariat Limited, and Harley. Included in FX luxury package. Included in Lariat plus package. Included in Raptor luxury package.

If you are from Canada I'm not sure what it is.

FYI... I've been doing my research on this myself and have been told that the factory installed one is not Bi-Directional and has lousy range .. Both of these inadequacies will make me go with an aftermarket one

It was just released for the first time on the 2011 Super Duty and is now available on the 2011 F150. How many of each have you tried? None? According to this thread it has good range:

READY FOR WINTER? FORD ADDS NEW REMOTE START FEATURE, HEATED STEERING WHEEL TO WARM CUSTOMERS

There is also a picture of the all in one key. Having it a part of the key without a second key fob is nice. I would buy it just for that. It will also enable the heated seats and rear defroster. Can a non factory unit do that?

Hey, it that a pineapple slightly out of frame?

I've got the cheapo OE and no complaints except for the 4 FOBs.

My XLT wuz parked at the very end of Meijer's lot the other nite and while I was paying I could just barely see my truck out the window, so I thought I try it. Fired right up.
