Made A Bet With My Sgt, Leaving to the forum for help declaring the winner
snappy lips i had the 4 stock cats removed, but only to be replaced with 2 hi flow magnaflow cats. i guess its going to be down to us actually running when i get home. hmmm maybe i should redo my rear gears and throw my electric fans on. is it cheating if you don't say anything about making new upgrades? lol. thanks everybody for reading this thread and giving me your thoughts. we are making the final decision on monday which way the bet went.
I think with the 3.73's and 6 speed, the Sarg may hold the advantage here. If he gets grip in that low 1st gear, he'll definitley pull outta the hole. And l, as well, would like to express thanks to both of you for your service. May God watch over you guys so you can return safely and settle this wager within the shores of our great nation. :-)
If he has 4:10s I say he will definitely take you in a drag race. Even with the 3:73s I still give the 2010 a slight advantage. The race will be won or lost off the line. With his better rear end and better first gear he gets the advantage. Once you guys are going I think you will begin to reel him in but not before a 1/4 mile. Post up the results once you guys get back,
I think your 05 Scab with 26K and the hi flow cats and flashpaq would dust him from a slow roll in his 10 with stock 5.4 and cat back system.
If he's got 4.10s, good bet he had them installed maybe for bigger tires, like taller? 3.15, 3.55, 3.73 are all that are available on the F-150, the 4.10 on the Raptor only. He has a lower first gear in the trans.
Off the line, I tyhink he might surge ahead but with only 1500 miles on the clock and yours broke in and a tuner, you might even get that back.
I love my job and appreciate the fact that people remember our guys out here, so thank you for thinking of us. I am an all wheel mechanic and turn wrenches non stop. I am just getting eager to do some tweaking on my trucks when i get home. I have quite a few parts waiting to be installed in both my trucks and the wife's 2011. I think i may add the e-fans to my f150, then switch over to doing the stereo in my daily driver. Then my wife's new truck is getting it's exhaust done, with custom seat covers made by Wet Okole, then tint the windows. Have to keep the warranty.
I noticed at the 1/8th mile track, my truck took off ok, but didn't pull hard until close to the end. It seems to have more mid to top end power. I believe with tire spin on launch I was doing 60 out at the end at around 10-11 sec in the 1/8th. The track official wouldn't let me go around the water box, I am currently rolling Shelby 20x9 in wheels with cooper 295/50/R20.
