EcoBoost Teardown

Teardown will be free and open to the public at NAIAS!

"Truck customers should think of the EcoBoost truck engine as a gas-powered engine with diesel-type capability and characteristics," said Mazuchowski, V6 engines program manager. "The twin turbochargers and direct injection give it the broad, flat torque curve that makes towing with a diesel so effortless – and hard acceleration so much fun."

i hope they inspect external components as well. most non believers are worried about "more parts breaking" like turbos. someone should go and have them mic the internals of the turbos for more proof of this engine.

im excited, but most excited about MPG of real world driving...

This would also be the perfect opportunity to release the fuel economy numbers for EcoBoost (if it doesn't leak out sooner.) The Detroit Auto Show is among the biggest auto shows and they would get a lot of publicity. The show starts the second week of January so we are about 2 weeks away.
