Best way to find out would be to post the VIN.
Then copy and paste it to the end of this URL

Hmmm. He just bought it, has never looked under the hood, but still had time to hook up a car hauler and a boat, in december in the off season. I'm still going with a troll here.
But more info could help. About how much was the sticker price, and what kind of rebates did you get? I bet they sold you a 2010 5.4, and less likely but possibly, a 2011 6.2.
Post some pics, prove me wrong, and I will sincerely apologize.

I don't see how you could buy a truck and not look under the hood?!?! Especially if you have already done a lot of towing with it. Also on my 2010 FX4 it says 5.4 liter right on top of the engine in plain view.
he must be out still towing his boat and too busy to look under the hood. I think we can put this thread to bed....troll.
So he dropped $~30,000 on something and has no idea about what he bought....yea, and my dog just sh*t a golden egg.
there is no need for him to "pop the hood" and look....6.2L was not manufactured unless its a raptor which clearly it is not....the guy either got dooped by a good salesman or is full of it. He has the 5.4 or the 4.6....or is still driving his Chevy and is daydreaming about being a Ford owner.

those aren't cars, they're street legal go carts.
They have something in common with the 2010 XLT too... they didn't come with the option of a 6.2L engine...
