This is a nice looking truck. A while back I owned a 2007 Dodge Powerwagon and miss it's capability but not it's reliability. I wish Ford would build something similar to this or the Powerwagon on the F250 platform.

I'll go ahead and mark that one down as another ugly failure for gm. It might compete with the power wagon, but I think the weight of an HD truck will keep it from ever giving the raptor a run. The raptor has agility, weight and quickness on it's side

Yeah I know the article states it's meant to compete with the Raptor but I don't think so. Two totally different trucks. I think it would do better trying to compete with the Powerwagon which is an extremely capable truck but in a different way than the Raptor. The Raptor is more of a high speed off road truck while the Powerwagon is more of a low speed crawling truck. I've always been a "Ford" guy but the Powerwagon I owned had phenomenal off road capabilities but it just spent too much time in the shop.

Looks cool, but then again it hasn't been built yet, and those are paintings, not the real deal.

Yeah i don't think its dumb. I mean the article is saying that its something for the raptor and the powerwagon. Which aren't even near the same types of trucks. I honestly don't like the raptor too much cause its just in no way practical(ranger splash on steroids). How man ppl go racing accross rough terrain at 100mph. Ppl who buy that truck don't buy it to use it bc most can't, its like a show truck, cool concept truck lets buy it... def not my style. I like the powerwagon, its practical with some extra's imo. The only reason i say this might be a good idea is just bc you got your raptor guys and you got your pw guys. It's kinda a cross between the two. Big fat wide tires like the raptor. Reminds me of the pw in that it just looks more like a regular truck. I've heard alot of ppl say they wish the pw came with a diesel(That hemi has tons of pwr tho so don't kno why???) but this one comes with a diesel. Plus you got your die hard chevy guys that are gonna like it.

To those who say this GMC concept is ugly, useless, etc; keep in mind there are many other vehicles that some would describe the same way. I consider many uber-luxury cars the same way. We are a country of excess, so there is plenty of this going around. But, enough of my soap box...

This is just a concept, so a lot of its polarizing styling cues would likely be muted some if such a vehicle makes it to production. Certainly the next-gen GMC may have some of this concept's styling cues, but should be more subdued. While I think the concept is a bit over the top, I do like the idea of GM getting a little more bold with their styling. I have considered their trucks to be fairly attractive, but a bit boring.

GM sucks! I would rather own a Dodge if I could not choose to own a Ford. Gm for years has been critisied by poor styling, interior looking cheap w/ their plastics and such.

I wish Ford would offer somthing like the Power Wagon w/ the winch and such. Or offer a package w/ the winch on the F250/350. Ford will outsell Gm and Dodge this year anyhow!!

I agree. F250 with solid front axle, lockers front and rear, 4:30 gears, 6.2L and a low crawl ratio. If Ford made this I would be first in line to buy it.

I admire Ford for going out on a limb and creating the Raptor and they did a great job but it's just not for me.

That truck as it sits is pointless unless you want to take Normandy.

I like how they even made it a similiar color to Ford's new Golden Bronze.
