I jumped the wires. Rear defrost never worked but I have never had the back window fog or freeze up Living in Canada. After jumping light comes on and the side mirrors now defrost. Just no back window defrost

Ju.p the rear defrost wires behind rear passenger seat

The rear defroster control is located on the climate control panel and
works to defrost your rear window from fog and thin ice. If equipped, it
also operates the heated mirror to remove snow and thin ice from the
side mirrors.
Ensure that the ignition on. Press to turn the defroster on/off. The
indicator light will illuminate when activated. For vehicles with a sliding
rear window– the defroster will be disabled when the window is opened

This is an old thread, reaching out in case anyone might know. I'm putting a 2010 rear

2012 connector

slider window into my 2012. The 2010 window has a blue connector with three wires (power + two others), my 2012 has two wires (power + yellow wire). From what I could find online, the second 2012 yellow wire is a 4V feedback to controller to show defrost is working, otherwise power is disabled. Does anyone know what the two wires are on the 2010 circuit? I've tried to research but haven't been able to find information on it
