2011 official fuel eco. number
I find it hard to believe that Ford can get 2-4 mpg better with this 350+ hp V6 than they get in a V6 ranger that puts out 150 less hp, almost 200 less foot pounds of torque in a truck that weighs 1,000 pounds less and has better aerodynamics.
I had my mind set on a 2011 Dodge Ram but the 5.0 liter V8 with the 6-speed can probably get 20 mph on the highway. I'd wait for an eco-boost but it sounds like we won't see them until last Spring.
I'll need to see more real world 5.0 vs eco boost tests in the next couple weeks.
