Wired box mounted to rear view mirror
I own a 2010 F150 XTR and a buddy of mine owns a 2010 XLT. The XTR normally comes with more options but the XLT has a wired box mounted to the rear view mirror that my XTR doesn't have and we don't know what it is for. Does anyone know what this box is?

The XTR is offered in Canada I believe and is a option package like the FX2, FX4, STX etc...
XTR is Canada's XLT with the chrome package.

The XTR is a sports package they put on the XLT in Canada which includes:
18" chrome wheels (instead of 17" polished aluminum)
Chrome door and tailgate handles
Chrome step bars
Mud flaps
Turn signal LED in side mirrors
Front bumper driving lights
6 spoke chrome grill (instead of the 3 spoke)
and of course the big XTR decal on the side.
Well, it appears that the little box is a compass and I confirmed that I don't have one and he does. Go figure hey. I think Ford should get an award for having the most variations in their trucks. LOL

Yup, I have to agree with that. My 2006 has the compass, it has the little black box but it does not have an auto dimming mirror.
