I own a 2010 F150 XTR and a buddy of mine owns a 2010 XLT. The XTR comes with the turn signal leds in the side mirrors. What we are wondering is if the XLT would be pre-wired for these turn signal leds in the side mirrors. There is a cover in the mirror in the spot where the leds would be installed. Anyone know?

 

I would do a search on the forum.. There are plenty of posts about this.. I'm pretty sure if he has black covers the wiring is not there.. If he has the reflectors but no turn signal then he can do it.

 

Yes and no. The harness that plugs into the mirror assembley is wired for turn signals, but the inside of the mirror is not. If you swap the mirror assembleys with ones that have the LEDs, that will work.
