I haven't heard of any issues with ABS when lowering any part of the truck. The OE blocks are not very thick as it is. I think they're only 1 5/8" so you can remove them entirely. If you were to replace it with a 1" block, the net drop would only be a fraction of an inch, so it'd be a waste of money. I'd just take the blocks out and see how you like the stance.

You won't find any smaller blocks. Removing the OEM ones you have now should make your truck sit level. They are easy to remove and will not cause any issues at all. The only thing you need are 2wd U-bolts. The ones used with the blocks will be too long. You can pick them up anywhere online or at your local dealer.

It's simple. Just jack the truck up by the leaf springs one side at a time. Undo the U bolts, remove blocks, lower jack and replace with shorter U bolts. Takes no more than 20 mins.

Then sell your blocks to someone on here. I'm sure they'll sell fast. I did the complete opposite and added OEM 1 5/8' blocks to my 2wd truck.

Ford dealer removed my blocks before I took the truck. They loosened the bolts, removed the blocks and retightened the bolts. The block is not has thick as per 'o9's.
On my 03 truck I ordered the 2-wheel bolts, but not necessary on the new trucks. With blocks removed the truck sets level, like it should be....

That's cool the longer U bolts work without the blocks. They must be threaded farther than previous years.

That said, sounds like it'll be easy. Removing the blocks is super simple. Just make sure you have a torque wrench. Torque them to about 90 lb / ft. I believe, and recheck after 500 miles or so.

Removed mine, reused the originals.

No issues, no different than putting a few pounds in the bed and hauling it around.

The 2WD do not use blocks. If you want to lower the rear 1-2" on a 2WD you can install lowering shackles.

As stated, 2wd do not have rear blocks. They are the same height as a 4x4 that had it's blocks removed.

The front of your truck is also about an inch lower than a 4x4. That said, raise the front or lower the rear. Just don't put on the 2.5 level.. you'll be nose up.
