No 6.2 option for the 2011 F150 FX4?
I don't think so... You have to get the max tow package to get it in the platinum if I remember right. It's only going in high end models with the max tow package (its standard in the Raptor and Harley I think), so the FX4 gets the 5.0 or the EcoBoost. I could be wrong, but I think I remember correctly the FX4 does not get it (yet).
I couldn't believe the KR doesnt have it either! Especially after one of the Vids on the Ford site specifically for the 6.2 has the KR. That would have been a strong incentive for me to trade up... But maybe another day...

just stirring the pot... lol.
You will have the 6.2L V8, rear locking diff, heated and cooled seat...
The price difference ain't that big. I think it's 2 000$ CAD more for that package.
Plus you get (IMHO) the worst grille of the lot, gaudy wood trim and lots and lots of chrome...
Well, that and cooled seats, and a rear seat armrest.

The Limited edition has kind of a cool looking interior though if I am remembering the pics correctly.
That's why i don't want the Lariat.
But the option is still there for those who want the 6.2L.
I'm not sure if i'm going with the 5.0 FX4 or EB FX4.I want the big gas tank... Plus the 5.0 with the Mustang supercharger would be sick
but i ''need'' the 11 300lbs max towing capacity.

EcoBoost is the top engine that Ford is selling and it is available on almost every trim. The 6.2 is a top engine but is not "the" top and is limited due to those fuel economy standards. If you want the top, go with EcoBoost.
Nope. EB is available on FX4 Trim. In fact with the max tow pkg its the only option.(FX4)
6.2 or EB F150
IMHO:
EB 6 with turbo/ BIG 8!
can not beat displacement, I know some people at ford at got an 2010 FX4 as I knew it would not have the 6.2 as an option and dont want to jump into an untested 5.0. I don't like the lariat due to leather and cheap wood trim. I am not about to jump in to new engines that have only been tested in light duty (cars) applications. The 6.2 was made for the super duty and is an high end option for the F150. I say give it 2 or 3 years and we will get in in all but the lowest trim levels. Turbos/supercharges always have very high heat issues heat is bad for all things.
