To assume I am uneducated is uncalled for. I stated it is my opinion. So keep your opinions about me to yourself.

I was thinking about this last night. From the way Ford did durability testing there is NO way I could duplicate anything that rough in the real world. My reality may be different from others but how do you hold a truck engine wide open under a full load for hundreds of hours non stop?

It may have a few bugs but this is not the old Ford Motor Company of past. This engine could be a game changer. Somewhere somebody back in the 60's probably thought the 300/6 was not going to hold up. Its a natural reaction to change. Sit back and what this one because its going to be fun.

You need to do some research before you make comments that may sway customers away from the ecoboost.
An opinion is "I don't want a V6", an ignorant statement is "What about the guys that will be towing down the highway, obviously using nearly full boost for hours then pull in somewhere and shut it off just like they do with a NA engine. The turbos are left there to bake in their own oil."

I don't care whether you started your post with "this is only my opinion or not" that statement is ignorant

Still not sure whether the tests have been done or not.

This sounds like they have already been completed but videos haven't been made:

American manufacturer Ford has launched today a series of web-based documentaries that will take viewers inside the extreme testing of Ford’s new EcoBoost truck engine, which will be featured on the 2011 F-150. Ford specialists have conducted a number of extreme durability tests, both in the lab and in the field, with a behind-the-scenes look to be showcased in the aforementioned documentaries.

The first video in the series has been already posted on the site, showing the dynamometer testing that new truck engines, including the new EcoBoost pulled randomly off the line at Cleveland Engine Plant

They wouldn't have this series made "on the fly" that would be crazy! this would have already happened for them to have the confidence to post the findings knowing nothing went wrong.... I think the bottom line is that the scenario's they put these engines under dyno, hauling etc. will never be mimiced by ANY of the users on here EVER they are doing things so far beyond what we would ever put it through that anyone who says there will be reliability issues needs to re-evaluate or elaborate what scenario's they will be using the truck under where they are exceeding the tests already perfomed. ANYONE on here who is claiming there will be issues with this truck please "Inform me" as to what you'll be doing to the truck to bring into question 1. reliablilty or 2. performance....I dare you! I knew when this new engine was introduced there would be nah sayers for sure but I haven't heard any concrete answers to back these statements! Please inform me!
