SIRIUS button but no sirius....

In my new F150 there is a button that says SIRIUS but apparently I don't have the module installed. Is the module something I can buy and install myself, has anyone tried this? I really don't want an aftermarket radio.

Do you have a satellite antenna on the right front corner of your roof? If not, then Ford must use a standard radio faceplate whether Sirius is optioned or not.

you will have to get an aftermarket radio or a receiver which you can get and any electronic store which will work with your stock radio a very easy installation and you will have to install an external antenna piece of cake.

I already have one of those sat. radio receiver for sirius but I was just wondering to keep a clean look on my dash. If a module for sat radio is too expensive to get, I'll keep the one I got already, just need to find a way to place it and still keep a clean look, well anyway thanks guys.
Moving on to the next mod.....

Sure you can add the Sirius tuner that will work with your stock radio:

I think the OP is wanting to add the Sirius module so that he can have Sirius through his factory radio - not an add-on unit like you are showing.

This link is to a thread from a Forum member who has an OEM Sirius unit For Sale. His thread was just posted a couple of days ago so it is a new listing for sale.

I found a sirius module on ebay, but I'm concern if would work on my HU because of the wiring connector being the same from previews years to 2010 f150's and even if the module itself would fit behind the dash check it out tell me what you think...

Sirius Module

I recently had this same problem with my wife's new 2010 Ford Flex. It has the Sirius button, but no module. Sirius does make an aftermarket module that connects to the factory radio. This module comes with a magnetic antenna that you can place on the outside of the vehicle. The module works o.k., but we've had some issues with it. The sirius module only offers you 6 preset stations, and we have ten preset buttons. We have also had some issues with the sync system and the sirius radio. Sometime when we use the sync/bluetooth phone, the sirius radio forgets the presets. This also happens from time to time when we turn the car off. The local sirius dealer is working with us to get these problems fixed. Yesterday I was told the issue is probably the firmware in the module. It appears that Sirius may not have had all the bugs worked out before they released the module. All in all, it think the module is the way to go. That is, if they get the bugs worked out of it
