I'm kinda dissapointed in you guys for not catching this sooner. Never use these "brushes/brooms" on your paint, unless you like swirls and scratching the paint on your brand new 2010. A clean microfiber mit, good soap and rinse the mit frequently. If your short you should have bought a step ladder.

As for the oil, motorcraft semi or full synthetic at the weight they tell ya to use.

O, and keep an eye on your tire pressure, that'l help your mileage.

Just a few pennies more at the local dealership got the job done for me. I think it was $21.64 with tax and no work, collecting used oil, cleanup on my end. At this pricing, why do the work yourself? Don't answer folks - don't need to read the replies about knowing the work is done right, the fear of the dealership damaging your truck, the need to climb under the truck and check things out, the desire to bond with a non-living thing, can't kick the habit of changing your own oil, etc. etc.

This is good info. I found this out the hard way on my wife's car. Those will never touch another one of my vehicles again. I'm also vertically challenged, so I've had to address that issue as well.

It did a wonderful job on my truck. I looked after the wash and was very pleased

Nice Z16 you have there. I had #955 but sold it right before I bought my truck. I have plans of picking up another toy within the next year or two. I loved my 04 Z but at the time it was my only car and with all the snow we had up here I was forced to sell it. Looks like we have the same taste in our cars and trucks . Here is a pic of my old Z, after digging up that pic I really do miss that car. Was a blast to drive, all I had done was Longtubes, Intake and tune and that car ran damn strong.

LOL well thank you... I traded that Z16 in for the truck though. The twins love the big back seat it has to offer compared to the Z16

I have the use of my friends Porsche shop complete with hoists etc. As well as getting the oil etc at his cost, get to use thier disposal service and look under the vehicle for any other issues.

BTW, when I got my 2008 Edge, the fill is 5.2 litres for the Duratec 3.5. Two dealers filled to 5.6 litres on their auto-fill dial as that is what was used in the past. I took it back twice at each untill it was filled correctly. A third put the wrong oil filter on .... It seems NO ONE checks the oil level. All they do is dial in and fill!!!

Thanks, I was very pleased with the wash it done for me and the windshield was so easy to reach. The wife saw me going to town on my truck scrubbing it with my $10 walmart brush and asked me if I was enjoying my new toy.

You guys wont believe how that road grime really builds up on your paint after a month or so, even if you drive on nothing but asphalt. A shiny brand new truck is very peaceful to look at.

I drove the truck 425 miles today back up to Huntsville AL from Diamondhead, MS on the gulf coast.

I think that Fram xtraguard filter is gonna be just fine. No issues what so ever on the drive up. Ran the xtraguards on my 5.3 chebby for 10's of thousands of miles.

Wow man I'm meeting more and more people these days from where I'm from down there. I use to live in Diamondhead by the water tower. Many years back of course I went to North Han**** until East Han**** opened then moved to Harrison County in 6th grade. Did you go to Han**** High? P.S. Sorry for off topic

I have to ask. Where did you pay $10 for the Fram? I was in Wally's World last night, and the most expensive Fram on the shelf didn't list for for more than $8. The Xtra Guards mostly ran $4-5. About the same as the MC.
As far as the Fram, when you start getting valve noise on a cold start, the problem is the Fram and the lousy anti-drainback valve.

I was stationed at the seabee base in gulfport and also worked at stennis. I switched over to the army last march and in huntsville waiting on orders to a unit. Im from northern michigan

It may have been $10 I might have looked at the price tag of an air filter instead,

It was the only option from their little data box selection on the shelf
