trailer control can it be added?
Two if by Sea: there are two fuses - one in the passenger side fuse box, #33, and one in the engine compartment fuse box, #17. Did you check both? Since you are getting no love from your Ford dealer, is there a U-Haul dealer nearby? They usually have a trailer expert there who may be able to troubleshoot it for you.
Mark Miller: If you got the optional FORD TBC from the dealer, then it should work just as it is, with no additional programming needed; if it doesn't, take it back to the dealer and have him fix it under warranty.
You will need to adjust the gain on it, there are detailed instructions in the owner's manual. Obviously, you'll need a trailer with electric brakes hooked up in order to do that.

Thanks Mark.
Just keeps getting better.
Brought it to the RV dealer with specific note saying I think it is the harness and if they confirm it is, stop doing work and I will pay for the incurred labor and bring it to Ford for warranty. Those idiots found that some of the wiring harness was missing so they went ahead and installed a whole new harness without asking and charged me $464 (I was at work, wife dropped off and picked up the truck). That is going to be a fun sell to Ford to get them to pay.
Then I come home to find FOMOCO answered my email complaint and indicated that the next step is for me to bring in my truck to the dealer for them to check the harness. And went on and on about how aftermarket parts, while installing them does not automatically void a warranty, they aren't a good idea and could cause all kinds of damage that OEM parts would never cause. Nice...if your factory could actually install what people pay for in the first place I might begin to listen to that argument (but would never believe it in the end).
So. Looks like I have an uphill battle here because some factory worker spaced out. Wonderful.

While currently sitting at the dealership waiting for my first 8000km service, I inquired at the parts desk for the price of the CONTROLLER ONLY.. $486.00 ! wtf ? I told him you can by it on-line from Ford parts for ~$190usd, shrugs and says that US. I confirmed he was talking controller only. Another case of parts manager doesn't care I suppose.
what is the correct part number for a TBC for a 2010 F150 lariat
