Need help choosing mods...

I would like to get everyone's opinions and recommendations on mods that I am planning for my truck.

1) LED Tail Lights: which one would look best on my truck?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...%3D1&viewitem=

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

2) Headlights : possibly harley, depending on choice for tails.

3) Recon smoked LED 3rd brake light (already purchased, could not find anyone else that made one)

4) Grill: One of these two, upper and lower

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

5) Power Programmer: seems like custom tunes are best but they take a long time, so im looking for a recommendation for a programmer. is superchips a good one to get?

6) Exhaust: After researching, I found that the oem piping is 2.75in, so it seems almost pointless to get a full 3" cat-back, especially since it does not provide a big increase in power. my plans are to get a magnaflow muffler thats 3" in and dual 2.5" out with 3.5 or 4" dual tips going straight back.

7) Black Mirror pieces to replace orange reflectors (already purchased)

8) Hell Bent 2" leveling kit

9) 20x9 -12mm wheels with 33x12.5 toyo m/t or nitto trails...can anything more aggressive fit? what about 20x10 -25mm with either 285/55 or 33x12.5? i like the aggressive wide stance look

10) BacFlip G2 Bed Cover

Any other recommendations for mods are also welcome. appreciate the help.

here is a pic of my truck, its a dark blue lariat with silver pinstripe and decals

you should buy the second grill, that way you can sell me your stock grill... plus i dont think grill number 1 would look right with out hte outside edge of the grill matching the paint. You will have your truck color, a chrome grill shell with a billet insert.Like i said, if you want to sell your gill, let me know.

Hi.

Item #5: You can get a VMP custom-tuned Xcal3 from www.vmptuning.com within 10 days. Call Justin for details. Search these forums for the other folks who are happlly running this device.

Item #6: You are correct. You would be doing this for a sound preference, rather than performance. The stocker is a straight-through design. A Maggie muffler replacement will net you ~75% of the benenfit of a full catback for far less money. Search JimAllen's posts on this subject.

(FYI - Similarly - leave the intake stock andjust perform the Gotts Mod - the stocker is well-designed. Search for ASEMechanic's posts on his testing results. The procedure is in the Tech Articles section.)

You would need to buy an FX4 STX or XL grille for those inserts to work.

that is true for item number 220651493939.

i just emailed the owner of item number 380257701439 to make sure it is a replacement grill and grill shell and that no part of the factory grill is used. I will update as soon as he sends me a reply.

I like the first ones...those are the way Ford should've made them in the first place, imo. If you get tired of them later, you can night-shade them.

I received his reply a few minutes ago.
"This is all you need its the complete inner billets with the outer shell (bezel). It's a packaged grill."

Wich ones are you leaning towards? I know you probably have a preference...

Sadly, none of the links are working for me (probably this DHS internet nanny.).

its hard between the 3 for me. black was my first choice since i have dark tinted windows, then i was going to do a painted grill with polished billet grill and the inside of the grill would be gloss black, then maybe harley headlights and of coarse i already have the recon smoked 3rd brake light ordered.

the red ones seem like they would look out of place on my truck, the black seem like they would look good but not sure about blue and black, and the smoked ones i would usually stay away from due to the chrome inside but i think on blue it might look ok. its a tough choice but i want to order a set asap, just having a hard time choosing.

Again, I can not see the links but imagining all those colors on your truck, I'd have to go with black tails. The billet grille will be complimented by the chrome bumper but if you go the black route behind the grille, then it will also be complimented by the tails. The black theme is running on your truck (B pillar, mirror halves, etc.) and I think that on your dark blue truck, black/dark tails would look great.
