First Trip w/ 2010 FX4

Took my first trip in my 2010 FX4 today. 260 mile round trip on a tank of gas
I'd been working on for awhile going to work and back. By the trucks
MPG Computer, I started off at 15.0 mpg (that's the around town miles)
and ended up at 19.2mpg showing when I stopped for gas back at home.
Calculating it by hand and it was actally 19.6 mpg ...311.8mi / 15.9gal =
19.61mpg. I'm happy with it. 3.73 rear end and gobbs of power on hand.
Only a 1000+/- miles on my truck (I ride my bike most of the time) so it
should only get better as the engine gets broke in better.

Wow! Thats great mileage. My dads brand new 08 wouldnt get more than 14mpg in the first few thousand, and the most mine got on trips before lifting it was 19.2 with custom tuning. You are lucky, my friend.

I took my 10 SCAB to St Louis a month ago, 530+ miles one way. Ran avg of 75MPH with A/C on the entire ride, 19.1 MPG and very comfortable. My son was covered up with a blanket inside and outside temp was 98

Love this truck! Best I ever got with my 98 5.4 Off Road Scab was 15.5 on a
trip. I was real hesitant about getting another, but I'm suure glad I did now.

That's about what I expect to get out of mine. Wish I'd filled up fresh
before the trip and not included around town mileage. Miles of highway
constuction where I live and a lot of stop & go or less than 20mph
traffic was included in my 19.6 mpg. Love this Truck!

I now have about 14k on mine and I easily get:

-22 MPG on backroads (45 - 50 MPG, no stops)
-18-19 MPG on highways (70-75 MPH)
-15-16 MPG in town (stop and go, 45 MPH)

All the above is with a light foot. When my foot gets heavy, I still get:

-19 MPG backroads
-16 MPG highways
-14 MPG in town <--This is why I love this truck...heavy footed and still above 13
