As far as I'm concerned anything else I can do to make the truck difficult to steal is certainly not a waste of time. To think that is just stupid.
The majority of the thefts in my area are punks trying to make a quick buck. Obviously if a pro wants it he's got it.
In the past I've done everything from kill switches under the hood and dash to actually having a 3ft long 1" thick hardened eye bolt sunk in concrete and used two 1/2" steel cables to lock an old 78 Bronco to the ground. It was in a high stolen car area and my truck was never touched.

You don't understand - if they want the truck they are going to drag it and tow it first. They won't even open a door, crack a window or play around w/ any wiring. Back up, hook it up, gone. Once they are down the road they strap it down properly and then they have all the time in the world to defeat anything.

They are not going to get to wherever, realize they can't start the truck after they defeated the PATs and leave the vehicle alone or return it. Once they are hooked up your baby is gone. Actually, you might have a better deterrent is if you crank/lock your wheels in one direction and park nose first behind something.

If the majority of the thefts are just punks looking for a quick buck all they are going to do is smash and grab. They will either need the proper key or they will likely have repro rig to take your truck.
