Question Code Alarm Shock Sensor Reprogram

Does anyone know if there is some magical key sequence that will allow me to change the shock sensor sensitivity? I have spent the last two hours searching google and different alarm sites, but could not come up with anything. I thought there has to be some easy way to do it. Maybe there isn't. I have the CA-6550, which has been sweet and has worked great. The problem comes when I drive by with my motorcycle. Also, it is always chirping when a car door is closed next to it. And to top it off, the other day it was raining hard (no thunder), and the darn thing kept chipping.

Any help or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't it tell you how to adjust it in your owner's manual?

try this website for Code Alarm install or owner's manuals, you have to sign up for a username and password first:

ok, here's the ca6550 install manual from that site, hope this direct link works:
http://documents.codesystems.com/710820.pdf

you have to find your shock sensor. on page 22 it says this:

Adjusting the Shock Sensor
1. Increase sensitivity by turning the adjustment dial clockwise.
2. Decrease sensitivity by turning the adjustment dial counter clockwise.

I didn't install this myself, so I never got an install manual. Your download link worked perfectly. Thanks.

Now I just have to find the darned thing. Probably be quicker to just go to the dealer and have them adjust it.

Thanks again.

sure no problem.

I have the 6-button Ford alarm/rmst and the shock sensor is built right into the brain unit. and the actual owner's manual tells you how to adjust the sensitivity of it.
