How to obtain invoice and x-plan price?

I built my Ford F-150 on Edmunds and found the truck at a nearby dealership, but the dealer says that the Edmunds invoice price is not accurate. Where can I obtain the true invoice and x-plan pricing?

The truck I'm looking at is a 2010 Ford F-150 FX4 Supercrew and the MSRP is 45,135 after discounts (-1,700) if anyone wants to give me a ballpark figure.

Thanks in advance!

Search EAA01 on this site and click on the first response. It gives you a website and a password to get onto the website.

That website shows that x-plan pricing is higher than what people are actually paying according to Edmunds TMV.

BASE F-150 FX4 SuperCrew 5.5

MSRP = $38,115
X-PLAN = $35,186
EDMUNDS TMV = $34,787
EDMUNDS INVOICE = $34,450

Also, that website doesn't let you add any options. Is there X-plan pricing on options? Or is the discount just based on the model?

X-Plan is below dealer invoice (what they pay not including hold backs), so Edmunds is wrong. Ask the dealer to see the invoice. It shows all of the plans (A,B,D,X,Z, etc) at the bottom of it. If the truck is a 2010 leftover, they should be more than willing to dump it to make room for the 2011s.

One of the guys on here suggested going to Edmund's and pricing the options you want check the wholesale price and add them up. Add that figure to the x-plan price of the truck and you should be very close. It isn't exact, but it is a reasonable approximation.

I got the X-plan price from the Ford site, not Edmunds. I have heard that X-plan pricing isn't as good as it used to be and is now a hundred dollars or so above invoice on most 2010's. At least that's what I've been told. Someone posted an invoice on another thread that supported this. It showed a X-plan price slight above the invoice price. D-Plan was about $1,500 below invoice.

When I bought my truck in Jan, the deal from the dealer was a lot better than X-Plan. Invoice had X-Plan price on it. I paid hundreds less..
as with a lot of things, X-Plan not as good as it used to be. Should be some great deals on a 2010 now.

The 2010 I'm looking at had a sticker of just over $48,000 and after rebates and deals on the 2010 models I'm looking at just UNDER $37,000. That's on a FX4 with luxury package and max tow package.

That sounds like the truck I have and the price was right around $37k so to me that sound right.

I just bought a 2010 FX2 in Ft Worth texas at Bankston Ford (maybe i should get a discount just for this post) and the price was lower than X-plan. I would recommend not using that unless there the dealer is unwilling to biker...most of the time you will get a better price that X-plan. Especially on trucks.

just my 2 cents
