well....i have a truck on order and I ordered it with the step and pole. I think it will be handy unless its a cheaply built POS. Hopefully it will stand up to 240lb guys using it.

I love the pole and step up into the bed. When you get a few years on you with bit of Arthritis that step and pole are great! Would not buy another pick up without it.

the rating is either 330# or 350# .. can't remember .. but it should hold up fine.
