Looks great! Can we get some details on the work?

You painted over the chrome?
Sanding to prep?
Wet sanding between coats?
Anything else that would be helpful if trying?

i didn't sand anything at all. I just taped off the area around it and sprayed 2 light coats of niteshades with about 20-30 minutes between coats. after the second coat i waited about 20-30 minutes before i sprayed 3 heavy clear coats with 5-10 minutes between coats. make sure to use heavy coats with the clear coat (just enough to where it doesn't run)

I did two light coats and it looked purple. Maybe it wasnt dried all the way and still looked purple because of it. Anyways I sprayed a third coat hoping it would turn more black cause I rather it be all black then purple. Looked like **** so I tried to quickly remove it all with some goo gone. Got most of it off then the chrome around the edges started to come off! It was weird. Anyway I said f*ck it and primered it now just gonna do it all white. lol.

Damn that sucks. Was my same fear, enough nightshades to make it black wouldn't leave the chrome. Wierd.

Just dont be like me and sit there and watch it. REAL light coats, and walk away. Come back and it should be black not purple. I think it looks better with white on mine to. Im not sure if I should go the same route in the rear or what. I kinda want them matching. Then again I have all black in the front so white emblem looks better, then on the tailgate its all white so a tinted (black one) would look better I think. Idk would a white one in the rear be too much white??

BTW heres some upclose (low quality pics)
Upclose (havent clear coated it yet)

Far away at night

that looks badass man. and if it were my truck i'd keep the rear one black because that would be a lot of white, but it really depends on your taste.

@Agor How Do You Like Those Lights I Was Thinking About Adding Those To My Truck?

I Went With The Overlay For Now To Get The Black Emblem Look, I Figure After I Get Sick Of It I'll Actually Paint It..

The Thing I Need To Do Is Black My Badges.. I Wish Somebody Around Here Could Just Do It For Me.. Haha

And Any Suggestions About The STX On The Tailgate? Should I Remove It? Find A Black One Etc? Kinda Sticks Out To Me..
