New truck! Need feedback on ideas! (Roush Enthusiast)

Just recently purchased a 2010 F150 FX2 Super Crew, Black on Black Leather. Although I am very proud of my new truck, there are a few mods I would like to make...

First off, I got a smokin deal on a set of Roush 22" wheels and tires ($1200 shipped) that I plan to install along with the Ford Racing M-3000-G 2" rear drop shackles to level the truck out. I also plan to install a Magnaflow muffler with dual side exit exhaust most likely in front of the rear tire and the Roush CAI.

My question is: How appropriate would it be to place the "Roush F150 SPORT" badges on my truck considering, according to the Roush website, that is whats typically used for F150s with appearance mods only? Or should I just go with the 2" X 2" Roush badge that is typically put on the Mustangs.

The idea is to come across as a Ford/Roush enthusiast with a smooth & unique truck, not a poser or a fake which is why I will steer clear of the Stage 1, 2, and 3 F150 badges.

I am merely interested in their appearance characteristics which I why I see the "Roush Sport" badges to be appropriate when taking my mods into consideration.

Thanks in advance to all feedback.

I say put whatever Roush badge you want on it. The people who own real Roush trucks/cars will think you are building a clone, so what difference does it make? Hell, just go out and buy the body kit and the upgrades and you'll have a truck as good as their's, only without the dash plate.

Yes, you are probably right. I'm not interested in body kits and other mods, just a few mild upgrades - but I get what you're saying. Another good thing to point out is that Roush stopped manufacturing the F150s in 2008 so the closest thing to it in a 2010 would be some form of clone or replica.

Welcome to the site. Sounds like a nice truck and a neat project. I deleted the second thread as you are allowed one thread per subject.

dude nitemare it out! you've already got the fx2 and the right color, plus there were barely any nitemares made, and there are no nitemares in the new body style. that would be a great way to make your truck truly unique, and completely bada$$.

Great pickup and look forward to seeing the progress on the truck....I'd say do what you think would look best.

I would go with the Roush Sport badges...its just body components.

22" Roush wheels and Ford racing drop shackles are on the way (ETA this Friday).
Hopefully get the wheels and shackles installed Friday so I can get the exhaust done this Saturday. Ill be sure to post pics after installs.

Fell free to lend me your opinions on the project!!

I say get the 2 by 2 badges like the mustang, it looks cleaner to me. But remove all your other badges and put one on each fender and one on the tailgate where the badges were. If I didnt want to lose the stage 3 on my badges Id do that. Good Luck
